The ZoomerPlex is open for Doors Open Toronto and on Sunday, May 26th, we’re inviting you to hear a spellbinding new Toronto ensemble playing klezmer inspired by jazz, Roma, Classical, and European folk music. This powerhouse group’s members include acclaimed Toronto Symphony Orchestra principal clarinetist Eric Abramovitz, and Grammy-nominated Drew Jurecka on violin/accordion/mandolin. Joined by Juno-winning pianist Jeremy Ledbetter, bassist Michael Herring, and Payadora violinist/vocalist Rebekah Wolkstein, they’ll perform original arrangements of klezmer and Yiddish music, displaying their joyous and virtuosic genre-bending fusion of multi musical styles.
