Composer of the Week: Edward Elgar

This week: Edward Elgar.

Knighted in 1904, this son-of-a-piano-tuner was the pride of England, and the first legacy composer to come out of that country since the death of Henry Purcell back in 1695. How did he break the drought? Sensitivity, passion, imagination, and more than a little help from his wife!
